Property Highlights

Bellgrade Plantation, was once a Richmond estate of 1,000 acres. Sales over the years by the owners had reduced it to 161 acres. That last parcel, located at the intersection of Huguenot and Robious Roads was acquired in 1989 by Woolfolk Properties President Doug Wolfolk, a respected Richmond businessman.

In 1990, Wolfolk Properties engaged SLN as its JV partner to provide mixed-use planning and full phase development services for the entire 161 acres site as well as retail leasing and property management services. The final mixed-use development includes the following elements.

• The Shoppes at Bellgrade, a 160,000 SF retail center with four outparcels anchored by Kroger that serves as the primary retail destination for residents of the Bellgrade neighborhood – a high-end residential community.

• Morningside of Bellgrade, a five star senior living facility offering assisted living and memory care.

• The historic Bellgrade Plantation Home, restored and leased to Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

• Two multifamily communities totaling approximately 500 units

• The Polo Parkway office park comprising approximately 35,000 SF in four buildings

• Peak Experiences, 13,000 sq. ft. state of the art climbing facility featuring top rope climbing, lead climbing, and bouldering that was one of the first of its kind in Virginia.
