A&A Properties LLC Purchases 1.619 Acres on East Main Street in Louisa for Future Checkers Location

Richmond, VA (March 2026) – S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is pleased to announce A&A Properties LLC has acquired 1.619 acres of land on East Main Street in Louisa, Virginia from East Side Investors LLC for $510,000. Elliot Warsof represented the buyer in this transaction.

The buyer plans to develop the site as a new Checkers location, bringing the nationally recognized double drive-thru restaurant to the Louisa market. Founded in 1986, Checkers has built a strong following for its bold, made-to-order burgers, crispy seasoned fries, hand-spun milkshakes, and value-driven menu. The brand is known for its distinctive drive-thru–focused prototype, eye-catching design, and efficient service model that caters to customers seeking convenience and speed.

With hundreds of locations nationwide, Checkers continues to expand in growing communities, targeting high-visibility corridors with strong traffic counts. The planned Louisa location will introduce a popular quick-service option to the East Main Street corridor and is expected to serve both local residents and travelers passing through the area.
