Nusbaum Realty Co. is pleased to announce Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar has leased 5,103 square feet of ground floor retail space in the Wells Fargo Center at 440 Monticello Avenue, Norfolk, VA. Founded nearly three decades ago, Applebee’s operates the largest casual-dining chain in the world. This prominent eatery draws people of all ages and lifestyles with its fun, family-friendly atmosphere and signature bar and grill menu.
There are currently over 1990 Applebee’s restaurants operating system-wide in 49 states, 15 international countries and one U.S. territory. The Applebee’s system employs approximately 28,000 employees company-wide. This new Downtown Norfolk location will employ approximately 50 staff members.
Soon to be under construction, the restaurant is slated to open within the next twelve months. It will be opening daily for lunch and dinner and positioned on Monticello Avenue, next to Buffalo Wild Wings, directly below the Monticello Station Luxury Apartments and adjacent to the Tide Light Rail Monticello Station.
Applebee’s will join the Wells Fargo Center’s current roster of retail tenants including: in8 Chiropractic, Massage Envy Spa, Saffron Indian Bistro, Make-Up by Kim Nicole, 7-Eleven, Wells Fargo Bank, Bite Restaurant and Catering, Buffalo Wild Wings and Sushi King.
The 255,000 square foot Wells Fargo Center is home to the Region’s first LEED Gold Certified, Class A high rise office tower and features ground floor retail, as well as luxury apartments and on-site garage parking.
