This award is presented to those employees that demonstrate exceptional volunteer service and is named in honor of Justine Nusbaum, grandmother of Alan Nusbaum, Chairman of S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co.
Mrs. Nusbaum set the example as an exuberant and effective doer of good works whose contributions include: helping resettle refugees from war-torn Europe & Asia, St. Mary’s Infant Home Auxiliary, Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, Norfolk Cosmopolitan Club – First Citizen 1979, Sertoma Club – Outstanding Humanitarian 1976, Needlework Guild of America, American Red Cross – Clara Barton Award (80 years of service) Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia, Justine’s Clothes Bank, United Jewish Federation of Tidewater, Ohef Sholom Temple Sisterhoood, STOP Organization and the American Cancer Society.
