Norfolk, VA (June 2026) – S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. (“SLN”) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its third land transaction with Buc-ee’s, further expanding the iconic travel center brand’s footprint in Virginia. The latest acquisition includes more than 35 acres located in Stafford County, strategically positioned in the northwest quadrant of Interstate 95 and Courthouse Road at Exit 140. The property sold for $14.8 million.
This marks another significant milestone in the ongoing relationship between SLN and Buc-ee’s, as the company continues to identify high-visibility, high-traffic locations along key interstate corridors.
The Stafford County site offers exceptional accessibility and exposure along one of the East Coast’s most heavily traveled north-south routes. Its proximity to the I-95 corridor and strong regional connectivity make it an ideal location for Buc-ee’s signature large-format travel center concept, known for its extensive amenities and broad consumer appeal.
A 74,000 square foot store is planned and will include 120 fuel pumps, 24 electric vehicle charging spaces and 830 parking spaces. It is expected to create roughly 200 jobs and generate nearly $1.9 million in annual general fund revenue for the County.
While the transaction has officially closed, no definitive timetable for groundbreaking or opening has been established.
Nathan Shor and Reid Cardon of S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. facilitated the transaction. Their expertise and coordination were instrumental in bringing the project to completion.
“This transaction represents another successful collaboration with Buc-ee’s and underscores the strength of well-positioned land along major transportation corridors,” said Shor. “We are proud to play a role in supporting Buc-ee’s continued growth in the region.”
