NORFOLK, VA – (January 2019) S. L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is pleased to announce the groundbreaking on Phase I of Riverbend Apartment Homes, a 130-unit contemporary affordable housing community in Gloucester, Virginia.
Riverbend is being constructed within minutes of Downtown Gloucester in the Gloucester County Courthouse area off of Route 17. The former American Legion Auxiliary Unit 75 building that once stood on the property has been demolished and new facility is being constructed on the site.
The community will feature high-end finishes, such as granite countertops in the kitchens and baths, washer and dryer hook-ups, Earthcraft Gold Energy features, a state-of-the-art clubhouse, fitness center, and resort style pool.
Phase I has an anticipated completion date of Summer 2020. Phase II will be comprised of 88 additional units and is expected to go under construction in the Spring of 2019, with a completion date of late 2020.
The community was designed by TS3 Architects, Bay Design Group, Details Ltd. and Siska Aurand Landscape Architects, Inc., and Hoy Construction is the General Contractor.
S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. purchased the site from Zandler Development Co. and worked with Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. and AGM Financial Services in financing the development.
