The building was constructed in 1983 and Kroger was the owner/occupant until 2020. The 58,690 square foot, two-story office building sits on 9.5 acres and functioned as the company’s headquarters for the Mid-Atlantic Division.
Broker Fenton Childers knows the property well, as he previously served as Kroger’s Real Estate Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Division and worked in the building for 34 years. He recently retired from Kroger and began a new career with S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. “It was a pleasure to serve Kroger again and assist in the sale of this property”, said Childers.
The property was purchased for $3,125,000 by The Branch Group, Inc., a Roanoke based firm, represented in the transaction by Steve Zegarski and Jason Fountain of Waldvogel Commercial Properties, Inc.
