Nusbaum Realty Co. is pleased to announce Stepping Stones Women’s Center has leased 3,200 square feet of retail space in the Mechanicsville Shopping Center at 7506-7528 Mechanicsville Turnpike in Mechanicsville, VA. Reid Cardon and Nathan Shor of S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. provided landlord representation services in the transaction.
Serving breast cancer survivors in the area for 14 years, Stepping Stones Women’s Center is relocating from medical office space to their first retail location in order to provide their clientele a relaxing, “shopping” experience, versus a medical office visit.
The group is expanding on all aspects of care resulting from breast surgery, treatments, menopause and aging, including: intimate wear, intimacy aids and skin care. They will also assist their clients in treating thinning hair associated with aging or other factors.

We are the premiere facility in Central Virginia, exceeding all accreditation requirements. Stepping Stones prides itself on being the go-to facility for women who have had mastectomies, lumpectomies, reconstruction etc.
We are most excited to offer the latest technology of custom fabricated breast prosthetics. In finding this new location, we are creating a fresher, more feminine feel. It has much better visibility, foot traffic, and allows us to offer more flexible office hours, etc. This new location will take Stepping Stones to the next level in providing the absolute best for our clients and the community”, said Marhalee Thurston, CFM, Owner.
The center will host a soft opening in May, with a Grand Opening slated for October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
