The Hunter A. Hogan, Jr. Award is presented annually to the top producing commercial broker in the region. This is the seventh time in the last fifteen years that Mr. Warlick has been the recipient of this distinguished award.
In 1997, the Hunter A. Hogan, Jr. award was instituted in memory of one of Hampton Roads’ finest citizens and a past leader of our local commercial real estate industry…..Hunter A. Hogan, Jr. This award honor, bearing his name, is bestowed upon the individual that achieves the highest production in sales and or leasing in the commercial real estate industry in Southeastern Virginia.
The Deal of the Year Award is presented to the individual with the largest gross brokerage fee from a single sales or lease transaction during the calendar year.
In the award winning transaction, Mark B. Warlick, SIOR, represented the seller, James & Venice King, LLC, in the sale of 39.16 acres of land on Gum Road in Chesapeake, Virginia to Kings Pointe Associates, bringing a 14‐year listing to a close. Kings Pointe Associates has received City approval to develop two luxury residential communities on the site, which will provide over 400 new homes in the Western Branch section of Chesapeake. The property was originally part of a larger tract that was in place before being split off due to the construction on I‐664. The western portion of the site just off the interstate on‐ramp was previously sold and developed for a Holiday Inn Express.
